Frequently asked questions.
A few things people ask us before getting started.
What does a personal injury case cost?
Personal injury matters are handled on a contingency basis. You pay nothing unless we recover for you. The percentage is agreed upfront and explained in writing.
How long will my case take?
It depends on the case. Some claims resolve in a few months; others take longer, especially if a lawsuit is filed. We will give you a realistic timeline during your free consultation.
Do I need to give a statement to the insurance company?
No. You are not required to give a recorded statement to the other party's insurer. We strongly recommend you talk to a lawyer first. Adjusters use those statements against injury victims.
What if I was partially at fault?
Missouri follows a "pure comparative fault" rule. You can still recover damages even if you were partially at fault, though the amount is reduced by your share of responsibility.
How much is my case worth?
It depends on your injuries, medical bills, lost wages, and the impact on your life. We evaluate all of that and give you an honest assessment during the free consultation.
What should I bring to my free consultation?
Bring any documents you have: police report, medical records, photos, insurance correspondence, and witness information. If you do not have everything yet, that is okay. We can help gather it.
